633 W. 5th Street, 71st Floor, Los Angeles, CA 90071
Taste six different 2015 DRC wines (we will taste everything but the $30,000 Romanée-Conti and $10,000 bottles of Montrachet, but perhaps next time?
Bonus for this event: Each attendee is responsible for bringing a great burgundy—premium cru or higher—something you can be proud to share with a room of clients willing to invest in this dinner. A photo of this label is requested so that we can prepare the menu and courses. The wines will then be served blind and we will vote on the quality and which wine from the list it may be... The best bottle (by popular vote) will receive a free pair of VIP tickets to STARS of Pinot Noir on July 17 at Montage Beverly Hills!
This is over $16,000 worth of Burgundy—worth the price of admission! Plus, the 5-course meal and the great tasting hosted by Ian Blackburn, Burgundy Lover and Educator and former Brand Ambassador for Louis Jadot—Ian loves his burgundy!
Limited to 16 guests - 1.5 ounces of each (approx.) will be offered and included
Domaine de la Romanée-Conti, often abbreviated to DRC, is an estate in Burgundy, France that produces white and red wine. It is widely considered among the world's greatest wine producers, and DRC bottles are among the world's most expensive. It takes its name from the domaine's most famous vineyard, Romanée-Conti.
At almost 1,000 feet above ground level, 71Above is the highest restaurant west of the Mississippi. Offering elevated modern American cuisine by Chef Javier Lopez, 71Above boasts breathtaking ocean views from Malibu to Laguna Hills, along with spectacular views of the Los Angeles basin and the surrounding mountain ranges.
In addition to the magnificent views, 71Above was designed to provide a number of varying dining experiences. Guests may choose to dine within the buzz of the bar or in our adjacent lively main dining room. The Chef’s tables offer views of the open kitchen and transition into a semi-private dining area, offering a quieter and more intimate dining environment.
